Kyra Dininny
B.S., Counselor Intern
Kyra grew up in the countryside of Horseheads, New York, where she developed a deep love for the outdoors and an early appreciation for holistic wellness. Coming from a blended family with divorced parents, she gained insight into the complexities of personal and relational dynamics, insight that now shapes her compassionate approach to counseling.
A former athlete and outdoor enthusiast, Kyra moved to North Carolina to start a job in law enforcement after working in corrections and with children, however, she quickly felt a strong nudge to focus on counseling military personnel, first responders, and individuals affected by trauma. With close family in both the military and law enforcement, she understands the unique challenges faced by frontline relationships.
Kyra earned her Bachelor’s degree in Behavioral Health Science from Grand Canyon University in 2023 and is currently finishing her Master’s in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at Liberty University. She integrates clinical tools with a theological perspective to meet each client where they are, creating a safe, supportive space for healing and growth. Kyra is dedicated to understanding the client’s experiences and providing a space for them to work through whatever is needed.
