We Are Here To Help.

Deciding to go to counseling can feel like a big step. Or maybe you’re returning to counseling because it was helpful for you in the past? When our symptoms begin to surface, it is important to acknowledge what you are noticing and know that reaching out for help is a really good thing. Avoiding our symptoms will only make things worse eventually. You can only stuff the pain for so long. These sometimes small or big indicators are our body’s way of prompting us to put on our oxygen mask. We’ve all been there. We all have a story containing some amount of hurt, distrust, confusion, anger, or more. Counseling is healthy next step and finding a trustworthy therapist can make all the difference in moving towards your personal goals and feelings of relief.

Identifying our emotions, sharing our stories, and learning how to process and cope better are a part of therapeutic process. Talking about feelings does not make you weak! It is actually quite the opposite. Sharing in a safe space allows vulnerability and vulnerability overpowers shame which actually helps increase your resiliency and overall performance! It also helps to bring continued awareness and like any other training, like going to the gym, counseling can help build strength into every area of life. Therapy can’t take the pain away completely, but it will help you manage much better both personally and professionally.

Facing your pain is a hard step, but it’s important to remember we were never meant to carry the weight of our hardships alone. Whether it is anxiety, depression, anger, career struggles, betrayal or more, there is hope and we strive to walk alongside our clients in the best way. At Valor, we also care about the importance and need for good, healthy community which is lifegiving for every person.

Our counselors want to provide each client with the best treatments because we love what we get to do in the mental health field. Valor Counseling Center is a trusted circle of culturally-competent therapists, striving to serve our clients well by providing relevant, effective mental health practices and if desired, faith-based approaches. We seek to look at the whole person from holistic perspective and often incorporate treatments such as EMDR, EFT, CBT, or other modalities to help client’s move towards their goals.

Thank you for considering us for your counseling needs!
